On February 6th at 1013 hours, Oakmont was dispatched to 598 Haverford Road for a vehicle fire, reported to be a motor home. Squad 38 went responding when fire board advised the fire was extending to the garage. The assignment was upgraded to a house response bringing Company 38, Engine 35 and Medic 108. Squad 38 with 38-9C T. Straub arrived with fire showing from the R.V parked in the driveway. The crew from Squad 38 made a quick stop of the fire and kept it from spreading to the garage. A 3″ supply line was stretched to the hydrant on College Avenue. The crew from 35 and 38 worked on overhauling the R.V. and went available around 11:00. (Pictures taken by Frank Hand.)
